Since 2016, we have made many technical improvements to the sound and lighting equipment as well as the backstage areas, and we have completely replaced the stage floor. Théâtre Maisonneuve is a unique venue in that no other place in Montréal has its capacity, and its stage-to-audience rapport is exceptional.

Perfectly located on Ste. Catherine St. in the heart of the Quartier des Spectacles, MTELUS spent previous incarnations as an opera house, playhouse, movie theatre, discotheque and even an ice skating rink! Now a genuine temple of music, it has hosted the biggest artists from home and abroad, from the great Sarah Bernhardt to Adele, from Prince to Lady Gaga. With a capacity of up to 2300 and offering an array of state-of-the-art technical equipment and facilities, MTELUS also welcomes events including launches, galas, conferences, conventions, symposiums and TV tapings.

Founded in 1996, the Society for Arts and Technology [SAT] is a non-profit organization recognized internationally for its active, leading role in developing immersive technologies, virtual reality and creative use of high-speed networks. With its double mission as a centre for the arts and research, SAT was created to support a new generation of creators/researchers in the digital age.

This public space in the heart of the Quartier des Spectacles is a versatile, all-ages destination open year-round. It is a welcoming spot with a diverse cultural program.

There is a comfortable terrasse in summer, a refrigerated skating rink in winter, and a multipurpose pavilion that will include food service, a green roof and a self-serve library. Esplanade Tranquille also has an all-seasons festive side, with intimate performances presented by the many festivals and events based in the Quartier.
